The last and final section of our new website that is under development is ‘About us’. Phew, talk about a hard message to portray. With the advent of our new site I’d like to get a few new messages across more clearly than previously defined.

The first message I’d like to portray is that we’re not out to be the biggest, best host. Rather we’re out to satisfy just our clients. In five years from now I don’t hope to have 400,000 clients — I could with a proper affiliate program and a pricing structure that isn’t fit to feed a kid.

Instead I’d much rather charge more, offer less (resources wise) but sufficient enough for our clientbase. With the pricing structure we’ve developed no matter what size we end up reaching we will be able to afford to continue to offer the same support and uptime that our clientbase is used to.

As far as affiliates go we never intend on offering it. Why? Well, because I’d much rather ensure that every single recommendation that we get from a client is genuine. Nothing is more honest than someone referring a company and getting nothing in return.

I can’t say the same for those other providers offering 160 dollars a sale: Most, if not all of their recommendations are dishonest.

Secondly I’d like to get across that we’re not your average hosting company. No, we’re not going to ever offer substandard products like Fantastico and open-installer. While we considered it in the past (and even had both installed, ick!) we removed them shortly thereafter.

Not only do they increase the potential for abuse but they tend to leave a server wide open for exploitation. Just recently there was a root exploit released for Fantastico. Having substandard software on our system is not something I want to offer let alone gain clients for!

We want to be known for our support, uptime and that we’re operated by people that care. No, we won’t always necessarily be nice or kiss your ass but we’re human and we love every minute of supporting our clientbase!

Well, back to work for now. I hope to launch the new site by tomorrow evening. Got quite a bit of work to do!
